Since 2018, monopo Tokyo has been directing and creating social media assets for various skincare lines from Shiseido. To capture the unique characteristics of each line and Shiseido's world-class technology, we crafted visual assets and copy for both English and Japanese audiences.

Ultimune

Ultimune is the iconic serum epitomizing Shiseido and its skincare technology. To launch the product’s updated specification, we created visual assets for social media/digital communication for AW 2021.

Ultimune

The focus was on building anticipation among existing fans of Ultimune, a product that is extremely popular and loved around the world, while at the same time attracting new audiences. The animations were designed to be bold and short to not add to the oversaturation of information.

Ultimune

Red, as seen in the corporate logo, is a special color for Shiseido. The specific hue used throughout the visuals is called "Shiseido Red,” which evokes the brand’s concept of Life Blood Science introduced in the new Ultimune. In addition to the strong use of color and light, silhouettes of the new bottle design and the celebrities who appeared in a campaign running concurrently aroused interest and intrigue in the brand and product.

Ultimune &

Ultimune serum is recommended to be used in combination with creams from different lines to ensure a holistic skincare routine. We also created visuals to explore the combinations that could be made to suit an individual's desired effects. The products were styled and photographed to evoke each efficacy and usage situation.

Future Solution LX

The premium product: Future Solution LX, was born from the fusion of plants nurtured in the rich nature of ancient Japan and Shiseido's advanced technology. The serum is formulated with Skin Genecell ENMEI*, a vital ingredient of the Perilla Frutescens plant. We created social assets for this project. Through the use of illustrations and 3D elements, we expressed the mysterious and mystical view of the plant and its healing solutions.

*Ingredients that provide moisture to protect the skin and prevent skin irritation (Japanese hibiscus extract, rosebay fruit extract, and 2-O-ethyl-L-ascorbic acid).

BIO PERFORMANCE

BIO PERFORMANCE is a Shiseido line committed to the mission of developing new anti-aging technologies. With cutting-edge technology and years of hyaluronic acid research, the BIO PERFORMANCE products offer an unprecedented anti-aging and skincare experience. We created multimedia assets for the Skin Filler serum, designing visuals that evoke the timeless quality of the product.

BIO PERFORMANCE

Like Skin Filler, the previously launched Second Skin was also created to harness the results of skincare innovations. However, due to the technical capabilities of the product, the accompanying information on its features and uses did promote a clear understanding of what it could do.

To explore this, we proposed a video for Skin Filler utilizing complex computer graphics showing the use of the products in an easy-to-understand way. Adopting the 3D Fix Technology that reduces the appearance of sagging under the eyes, the video expresses the quality of Skin Filler and its innovative Molecushift ingredients.

BIO PERFORMANCE

The main feature of the Molecushift Technology used in SkinFiller is that it makes hyaluronic acid penetrate deep into the skin, expanding as it works to make the skin more supple. In designing the visuals for the product, we used a glossy blue and white color scheme to express its crisp, cutting-edge technology. In the visuals, the function of the product’s properties and ingredients is expressed with gradiated shapes and smooth textures.
